Lena "Eleanor" Adriance, 80, of 20 Crystal St. died Thursday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on July 7, 1925, daughter of Dominick and Francesca Pintalla Pizzuto, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Adriance was employed by the former Sheaffer-Eaton Co. as a machine operator for 25 years, retiring in 1986. She also worked for the former Mercury Laundry for 20 years.
She was a communicant of St. Mark's Church and a member of its Ladies' Guild, and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 448 Auxiliary. She enjoyed hunting and fishing.
She and her husband, John M. Adriance Sr., were married Dec. 29, 1945.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, John M. Adriance Jr. of Hancock; a daughter, Francesmary Michaud of Pittsfield; two brothers, William Pizzuto of Pittsfield and Thomas Pizzuto of Naples, Fla.; five sisters, Antoinette Giguere of Pittsfield, Susan DiGrigoli of Lee; Josephine Bonneau of Lee, Emma Dobrowski of Pittsfield and Dolores Albano of Naples; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Lena "Eleanor" Adriance, who died Thursday, March 2, 2006, will be Monday, March 6, at 9:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mark's Church celebrated by the Rev. John C. Salatino, pastor. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. The family requests the omission of flowers and suggests that contributions in memory of Mrs. Adriance be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in
