Grace Maffuccio, 81, of 579 East St. died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 16, 1924, daughter of Philip and Luigia Litano Polidoro, she was a 1942 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Maffuccio was a homemaker.
She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and enjoyed playing bingo, bowling and visiting the ocean.
She and her husband, Armand Maffuccio, were married Oct. 27, 1945.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Richard Maffuccio of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Carol Ann Kuch of Pittsfield; a brother, Frank P. Polidoro of Pittsfield, and five grandchildren. Another daughter, Donna Grace Maffuccio, predeceased her.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mrs. Grace Polidoro Maffuccio, 81, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 10 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor.
Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., will be Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Survivors include five grandchildren, Christine and Michael Maffuccio, and Steven, Louie and Jonathan Kuch; a daughter-in-law, Carol Maffuccio, and a son-in-law, Louis J. Kuch Jr.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Ralph O., Fred P., Lucien J. and Alfred A. Polidoro Sr., and three sisters, Angeline Izzo, Condita Malally and Theresa Arena. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Americares in care of the funeral home.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
