Nancy P. Froio, 94, of Sugar Hill Senior Living Community in Dalton died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was formerly of 806 Williams St., and had resided at Sugar Hill since October 2004.
Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 14, 1912, she was a daughter of Erasimo and Vittoria Caparelli Carnevale.
She attended Pittsfield schools.
Mrs. Froio was a homemaker and was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
Her husband, Michael J. Froio, died March 26, 1997. They were married on July 12, 1931.
She leaves a daughter, Barbara F. Orzolek of Pittsfield; three sisters, Elizabeth Barosso and Carmen Walto, both of Pittsfield;,and Jeanne Caropreso of Kernersville, N.C.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mrs. Nancy P. Froio, 94, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2006. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church by the Rev. Paul D. Burns C.S.S., officiating.
Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., will be Friday, Feb. 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Ann Haywood, Laurie Shea, Michael Orzolek; seven great-grandchildren, Laine, Scott, Jason Hubbard, Brandais, Brianna, Joshua Ozolek and Isabel Haywood; a son-in-law, Theodore Orzolek, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Victor, Rocco and Joseph Carnevale, and three sisters, Marie Genovese, Philomena Dus and Natalie Carnevale, R.N.
