William H. Marley

William H. Marley, 66, of 84 Leona Drive and 283 East Main St., Norton, died Sunday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Born in North Adams on July 9, 1939, son of Clayton H. and Eliza Oliver Marley, he was a 1957 graduate of Drury High School and received an associate degree from Berkshire Community College in 1983.
Mr. Marley was an independent representative of a structural steel design company. He was responsible for bidding on projects, some of which included the steel work for the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, the recent addition to North Adams Regional Hospital and the Burlington Mall in Burlington.
He served in the Army Reserve.
He enjoyed cooking and traveling, and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
He and his wife, the former Geraldine B. Sharples, were married June 18, 1960. She died March 18, 1993.
He leaves two daughters, Karen Bossio and Kimberly Marley-Orsi, both of Pittsfield; a sister, Barbara Cummings of Adams, and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for William H. Marley, 66, who died Feb. 12, 2006, will be conducted Thursday at 11 at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME by Rev. William D. Furey, pastor of Berkshire Union Chapel.
Burial will be in Southview Cemetery in North Adams. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
He is also survived by his longtime companion, Pauline Mahoney of Norton, and her family; his sons-in-law, Robert Bossio and David Orsi, and his grandchildren, Kristen and Evan Bossio.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
