Jane Chard England

Jane Chard England, 86, of 233 East New Lenox Road died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center after a short illness.
Born in Albany, N.Y., on Aug. 10, 1919, daughter of Harold E. and Margaret Chard Parkman, she attended Albany Academy for Girls and graduated from Leaksville High School.
She attended the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina and graduated from Wheelock College in Boston.
Mrs. England taught at Buckley School in New York City before her marriage to Simon England Jr. in Fairhaven on June 10, 1955. Mr. England died Nov. 10, 1991.
She served on the board of the Berkshire County Recording for the Blind.
An active gardener, she received an award from the Berkshire Garden Club in 1983. She was also a birder and golfer, and scored a hole in one on Sept. 20, 1980. She enjoyed vacationing at the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- At her request, there will be no services for Jane Parkman England, who died Jan. 29, 2006.
She leaves nieces and nephews Lee Anne and Donald Park of Scottsdale, Ariz., Charron and James Reid of Newport, Va., Robin Young of Newport News, Va., Kelly and Andrew Blau of Pittsfield, Peter E. Blau of Bethesda, Md., Catherine and Christopher Blau of Pittsfield, Samantha and Allison Blau of Pittsfield, Stephanie Buonopane of Long Beach, Calif., and Eric Blau of Miami, Fla.

She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret "Polly" Lissack, and a brother, Elliot Parkman.
