Barbara Ellen Sedgwick, 75, of 109 Housatonic St. died Saturday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on May 12, 1930, daughter of Allen J. and Olla Graham McIntyre, she was a 1947 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a graduate of the former Berkshire Business College.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Sedgwick was employed for several years at the former Edgecombe Nursing Home as a bookkeeper.
She was a member of the Woman's Guild of Trinity Church in Lenox.
She enjoyed handicrafts, including sewing and crocheting, and reading, doing crossword puzzles, watching golf and baseball, and listening to country music and Luciano Pavarotti.
She leaves four daughters, Wendy Lynn McKinnon of Dallas, Ore., Cindy J. Allard of Great Barrington, Perri Alice Hall of Alford and Amy O. Brooks of Lenox Dale; a sister, Joan Pollino of South Padre Island, Texas; six grandchildren, and her former husband, Henry E. Sedgwick of Lee.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral and burial of Barbara Ellen Sedgwick will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the Lenox Library in care of ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.
She was predeceased by her beloved brother, James McIntyre, in 1985.
