After a lifetime of exceptional vitality and fitness, he died of complications from pneumonia. He had a distinguished career as an educator, teaching physical health and well-being, and his thirst for knowledge on this subject was unabated. He was the visionary behind Guido's Fresh Marketplace, and he took great pleasure in working side by side with this sons, store owners Chris and Matt. He was passionate about golf, skiing, gymnastics and soccer, participating in these activities himself, but taking greater pleasure in his children and grandchildren's involvement.
He loved to dance, and he shared this enthusiasm with his wife of 54 years, Rena. All who were fortunate to witness their partnership, both on and off the dance floor, observed something truly special. Guido was an inspiration to his family and the many students he taught. His love of physical activity, health and respect for others will live in our hearts. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
