Sheilah S. Campbell Sweet

Sheilah S. Campbell Sweet, 77, of Kimball Farms Retirement Community, 235 Walker St., died Wednesday at home.
She had resided there since 2002.
Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on March 30, 1928, daughter of John C. and Eunice Johnstone Stewart, she moved to Newton in her senior year and was a 1946 graduate of Newton High School.
She received her bachelor's degree from Bridgeport College in 1950 and her graduate degree from the University of the South School of Theology in Sewanee, Tenn.
Mrs. Sweet was an editor at a publishing house in New York City for many years.
She was the author of a romance novel, "Until the Jaguar Sings," written under her pen name, "Tina Greene," the name of her grandmother. She also taught elementary school in the Southern Berkshire Regional School District for eleven years.
She had made her home in Washington, Va., for 30 years.
She was a member of Trinity Church and had traveled the world many times.
She and her husband, Roderick I. Sweet, were married in Washington, Va., on June 17, 1978.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Holly Lukens of Monkton, Vt.; a son, David Campbell of Savannah, Ga., and a granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A graveside service for Sheilah Campbell Sweet, who died Dec. 28, 2005, will be conducted in Oakdell Cemetery in Peacedale, R.I., at the convenience of the family.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be conducted in the spring at Trinity Church in Lenox. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Trinity Church in care of ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.
She also leaves her granddaughter, Margaret Lukens.
