Richard L. Brazeau

Richard L. Brazeau, 65, of 43 Jason St. died Wednesday evening at home.
Born in Pittsfield on May 31, 1940, son of Lionel and Muriel Boudreau Brazeau, he was a lifelong resident of Pittsfield. He graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1958 and was a 1960 graduate of Bentley College.
Mr. Brazeau was currently vice president and chief financial officer of Standard Manufacturing Co./Sportsmaster of Troy, N.Y. He was the former owner of the Lenox Package Store. Prior to that, he was employed by Burton Enterprises of Cobleskill, N.Y., Holland Company and Berkshire Frosted Foods.
For many years he enjoyed coaching boy's basketball at the Pittsfield Boys and Girls Club and the Catholic Youth Center. He played on and sponsored the Lenox Package Store men's softball team and also sponsored the women's softball team, and was a fan of St. Joseph's High School basketball team.
He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
He leaves his wife of 41 years, Eleanor Collins Brazeau; fours sons, Roy A. Gosselin of Suffield, Conn., John B. Gosselin of Pittsfield, Richard C. Brazeau of San Carlos, Calif., and Daniel J. Brazeau of Boston; a daughter, Ann Marie Sadlowski of Pittsfield; a brother, Mark Brazeau of Dalton, and six grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Richard L. Brazeau, who died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, will be tomorrow at 9 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME with a liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Sacred Heart Church, celebrated by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery on Tuesday, Dec. 27.
Calling hours will be today from 3 to 6 at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Joseph Central High School to enhance mathematics and technology programming, care of the funeral home. Loving father-in-law to Donna, Juliana and Alexandra, he will be sorely missed by his six grandchildren Kelly, Daniel and Emily Sadlowski and Kiley, Courtney and Nicole Gosselin.
He also leaves a niece, Missy Keeler, a nephew, Jeremy Brazeau, and a sister-in-law, Linda. He was predeceased by a twin brother, Russell Brazeau.
