Stanley Lazor, 85, of Danvers died Wednesday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, son of Peter and Mary Lazor, he was educated in New York City.
A veteran of World War II, he served as a combat infantryman with the Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal on Nov. 8, 1944, after being wounded in France.
He then worked a contractor for 36 years with General Electric Co. of Pittsfield, and was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club.
He leaves a daughter, Maryann L. Kevin of Danvers.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the MACKEY FUNERAL HOME, 22 Conant St., Danvers. Interment services will be held in Pittsfield at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Stanley's memory to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
He leaves two step-grandchildren, Tara and Matthew Kevin, and a niece, Lorraine Woods.
