Rose Marie Suriner, 84, of 386 North St. died Monday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, where she had resided since August.
Born in Dalton on April 20, 1921, daughter of David and Theresa Musante Musante, she was a graduate of the former Dalton High School.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Suriner owned and operated a ceramics business out of her home for 20 years. She was also employed by the Berkshire Eagle in the circulation department from 1978 to 1987.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes' Church and made thousands of rosaries for missionaries.
She and her husband, Ralph W. Suriner, were married June 23, 1945. He died Nov. 16, 1990.
She leaves a son, Ralph W. Suriner Jr. of Peru; a daughter, Judith Suriner of Dalton; a sister, Rita Musante of Dalton, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Rose Marie Musante Suriner, who died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, will be private, with burial to be in Ashuelot Cemetery.
There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Suriner may be made to Dalton Ambulance and Rescue, in care of DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
Mrs. Suriner leaves her four grandchildren, Sara Foggon, Colin Middlebrook, Dorin Middlebrook and Nicole Fowler, and six great-grandchildren, Jesse, Cody, Lucy, Kyle, Kieran and Destiny.
