Ann M. Archey, 73, of 47 Springside Ave. died Sunday at home after a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on March 31, 1932, daughter of John and Agnes Kelly Herrick, she was a 1950 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Archey was employed by the Board of Health for many years as a health aide in the Pittsfield Public Schools. Before that, she worked for the former Hillcrest Hospital and in the office of Dr. Raymond Haling.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Charles' Church.
She and her husband, Richard Archey, were married April 19, 1954, in Pittsfield. He died June 19, 1989.
She leaves three sons, Robert Archey and David Archey, both of Pittsfield, and Daniel Archey of Arizona; a daughter, Kathleen Amuso of Pittsfield, and five grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Ann M. Archey, 73, will be Wednesday at 10:30 from DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:15 at St. Charles' Church celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 4:30 to 6 at the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
She will be missed by her grandchildren, Richard Amuso, Mark Amuso, Thomas Campoli, Jack Archey and Abby Archey; son-in-law, Mark Amuso Jr., and daughter-in-law, Shiobbean Archey.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and John Herrick.
