Agnes F. Brooksbank, 81, of Gertrude Road and of Margate, Fla., died Monday at Coral Springs Medical Center after a short illness.
Born in Holyoke on Feb. 28, 1924, daughter of James F. and Mary E. McSweeney Sullivan, she graduated from Holyoke High School.
Mrs. Brooksbank was a communicant of St. Agnes Church and a member of the Rosary Society.
She and her husband, Benjamin C. Brooksbank, celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on April 22.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Ann F. Lucaroni of Lenox and Kerry L. Demers of Norton; two sons, Larry J. Brooksbank of Pittsfield and Brian C. Brooksbank of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a brother, Thomas Sullivan of Southington, Conn.; five grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral service for Agnes F. Brooksbank, 81, who died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, at 8:15 a.m. from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in Dalton with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, celebrated by the Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, pastor.
Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Agnes Church or the Dalton Fire and Ambulance in care of the funeral home, 890 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
Agnes will be lovingly missed by her sons-in-law David Lucaroni and Peter Demers; her five grandchildren, Beth DiCicco, Daniel Demers, Laura Demers, Connor Brooksbank, Dana Brooksbank, and her great-grandson, Luke DiCicco.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Elinor O'Connell and Mary Sullivan, and a brother, James Sullivan.
