Dorothy Mae Smith, 76, of 379 East St. died Saturday at home.
Born in Meriden, Conn., on July 17, 1929, daughter of Thomas R. and Dorothy Mae Spencer Smith, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Ms. Smith was employed by GE for 44 years, retiring as an office worker from the ordnance department in 1993.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners' clubs.
She enjoyed playing the organ, and golfing at the GEAA, where she was a member.
She leaves a brother, Reavell S. Smith of Vero Beach, Fla.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Calling hours for Dorothy Mae Smith will be Friday from 2 to 4 at DERY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
She also leaves a nephew, Timothy R. Smith Sr. of Tampa, Fla.
