Robert Charles Pizzuto, 72, a 31-year-resident of 368 West Housatonic St., died Wednesday at St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester.
Born in Pittsfield on March 20, 1933, son of Frank and Gloria Coppola Pizzuto, he was educated in local schools.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Mr. Pizzuto was employed by GE as a machinist with GE, where he worked on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. He retired in 1992 with 25 years' service. He was also a self-employed contractor, installing tile floors, carpeting and linoleum.
He was a member of the GEAA Gun and the Piston Poppers Auto clubs.
He enjoyed fishing and making his own fishing lures, gardening, bowling and making wooden board games.
He and his wife, the former Rose DeLuca, were married Sept. 6, 1958, in Mount Carmel Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Marcus Pizzuto of Milton, Pa.; two daughters, Gloria C. Pizzuto of Pittsfield and Lisa Pizzuto-Grace of Queens, N.Y.; a brother, Frank Pizzuto of Riverside, Calif.; two sisters, Francine Harrell of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Gloria Pizzuto of Arizona, and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Robert Charles Pizzuto, who died Wednesday, Nov. 23, also leaves his daughter-in-law, Kellie Pizzuto, and his son-in-law, Artie Grace, and three grandchildren, Jordan Pizzuto, Jacob Pizzuto and Ashley Grace.
The funeral will be conducted Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 5:30 at DERY FUNERAL HOME by Pastor Doug Foss of Hope Advent Church in Lenox. A private graveside service will take place at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Berkshire Medical Center Renal Dialysis Unit in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
