Ruth Lois Kearns, 87, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Springside of Pittsfield, where she lived since July.
Born in Dalton on Sept. 29, 1918, daughter of William and Ada Maxson Brown, she attended Dalton schools.
Mrs. Kearns worked in the treasury department at Crane and Company. She retired in 1980 and moved to Florida.
She moved to Stephentown, N.Y. in 2002.
She and her husband, Edward M. Kearns, were married April 2, 1938. He died in 1999.
She was also predeceased by two sons, William and Martin Kearns. She leaves a daughter, Lois K. Bouchard of Stephentown, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Ruth Lois Kearns, who died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, will be private and at the convenience of the family. Following cremation, burial will be in Main Street Cemetery.
WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements. Donations in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
