Gail D. Mappus, 61, of Leona Drive died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center after a long illness.
Born in Springfield on March 24, 1944, she was the daughter of Ralph E. Bjorge and the late Ruth Boehm Bjorge.
Mrs. Mappus worked for the Springfield Housing Authority until illness forced her retirement.
She attended Christian Assembly Church.
Her husband, Chris Mappus, is deceased. Besides her father, of Springfield, she leaves a daughter, Holly Parrott of Pittsfield; a son, Steven Mappus of New Boston, N.H.; a brother, Lee Bjorge of Springfield, and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Gail D. Mappus, who died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2005, will be Wednesday at 10:30 at Christian Assembly Church, 850 Williams St. Rites of committal will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Friends may call at KAPINOS-MAZUR FUNERAL HOME, 64 Sewell St., Ludlow, tomorrow from 4 to 6. For those who prefer, donations in her memory may be made payable to Christian Assembly Church, 850 Williams St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, to benefit the City of Refuge Orphanage Mission Trip.
