Allen C. Lasher

Allen C. Lasher, 84, formerly of 33 Brown St., died Saturday at Hillcrest Commons Nursing Center, where he had resided since July 2003.
Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 23, 1920, son of Albert and Josephine Discoe Lasher, he was a 1939 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
A Navy veteran, he served during World War II and the Korean War as an aviation electrician's mate second class.
Mr. Lasher worked in the transformer division of GE for 44 years. He retired in 1983.
He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners' clubs.
He was a fan of the Yankees and the Oakland Raiders.
He and his wife, the former Perrine Drawdy, were married Sept. 21, 1944, at Camp Edwards. She died July 6, 1999.
He leaves a daughter, Carol A. Murray of Pittsfield; triplet sons, Robert A. Lasher, Ronald P. Lasher and Richard M. Lasher, all of Pittsfield; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Allen C. Lasher, who died Nov. 12, 2005, will be Wednesday at 9:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Charles' Church.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
He also leaves a son-in-law, Frank R. Murray of Pittsfield; six grandchildren, Robin Gregory, Scott Delisle, Jesse Lasher, and Shane, Ryan and Justin Lasher, and five great-grandchildren, Alison, Lauren and Marisa Gregory, Ethyn Lasher and Madilyn Delisle.
He was predeceased by a sister, Gladys Haskins. He enjoyed watching sports on television and traveling to South Carolina.
