Anthony F. Carchedi Sr., 55, of 49 Lake St. died Saturday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on April 25, 1950, son of Dominick and Carmella Anello Carchedi, he was a 1969 graduate of St. Joseph's High School.
Mr. Carchedi was employed by Jerry Vella Wahconah Dry Wall through Carpenters' Union Local 108 for 20 years.
He was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church, a member of the Italian American Club and a 30-year member of Local 108.
He enjoyed playing in the pitch league at Del Gallo's Restaurant and was a fan of the Yankees.
He and his wife, the former Robin M. Beliveau, were married Jan. 18, 1997.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Anthony F. Carchedi Jr. of San Diego and Domenic L. Carchedi of Dalton; a stepdaughter, Crystal Beliveau of Pittsfield, and four grandchildren. He also leaves his niece, Teena Rice of Dalton, whom he raised, and his former wife, Betsy Goodman Carchedi of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Anthony F. Carchedi Sr. will take place Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at 9 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor.
Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Loving grandfather of Casey Carchedi, Ashley Wood, Mariah Larkin and Cara McCaul. Other survivors include Teena Rice, whom he raised since childhood, and several cousins of the Carchedi and Anello families.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in care of the funeral home. He enjoyed spending his weekends with his nieces and grandchildren.
