Mary Louise Conley

Mary Louise Conley, 89, formerly of 30 South Carson Ave., died Sunday at Harbor Point Assisted Living in Centerville, Cape Cod., where she had resided since December 2004.

Prior to this, she had resided in South Yarmouth for five years.

Born in Dalton on July 14, 1916, daughter of John and Clara Crockwell Raftis, she was a graduate of the former Dalton High School.

Mrs. Conley was employed as an inventory clerk with Crane & Co. from 1936 to 1981.

She was a communicant of St. Agnes' Church, where she was active in church affairs.

She enjoyed knitting and animals.

Her husband, Michael J. Conley, whom she married Jan. 27, 1945 in St. Agnes Church, died in 1987.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Mary Louise Conley, who died Nov. 6, will be Thursday, Nov. 10, at 11 from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon at St. Agnes Church, concelebrated by the Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, pastor, and the Rev. Vincent M. O'Connor.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Church Memorial Fund or to Berkshire Humane Society, both in care of the funeral home, 890 East Main St., Dalton.

She leaves her childhood friend, Phyllis A. O'Connor of South Yarmouth, with whom she lived for five years, and Mrs. O'Connor's daughters and their husbands, Ellen and Theodore Borowski of Chicopee and Alicia and Joseph Tyburski of Springfield.
