Stella Caroline Young, 82, of 25 Centennial Ave. died Monday afternoon at Craneville Place.
Born in Hinsdale on Oct. 28, 1922, daughter of Joseph and Caroline Slowik Jakubiec, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Young was a telephone operator at Byron Weston Company for six years.
She was a communicant of St. Agnes' Church.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and spending time with her grandsons.
Her husband, Clifford W. Young, died in 1992.
She leaves a son, Terry F. Young of Dalton; a sister, Mary Jakubiec of Hinsdale, and two grandsons.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Stella Caroline Young, who died Monday, Oct. 17, will be private, with burial to be in Ashuelot Cemetery.
There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Young may be made to Dalton Ambulance and Rescue in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
She also leaves her two grandsons, Chad Young and Tyler Young, and a niece.
