Velma Louise Shank

Velma Louise Shank, 77, of 115 Plunkett St. died Monday morning at Berkshire Medical Center.
She had resided in Williamstown for five years, Hancock for 15 years and Pittsfield for the past five years.
Born in Chicora, Pa., on May 6, 1928, daughter of Thomas and Velma P. Kaylor Dunlap, she graduated from high school there.
She also attended beauty school.
At the time of her death, Mrs. Shank had been employed by Stop & Shop on Merrill Road in the salad department for 12 years.
She leaves two sons, Jeffery L. Shank of Pittsfield and Terry L. Shank of Ellenville, N.Y.; a daughter, Deborah L. Shank of Albany, N.Y.; a sister, Elsie Pyle of Butler, Pa.; a brother, Charles Dunlap of Butler, Pa., and six grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Velma Louise Shank died in Pittsfield on Monday, Oct. 17. Loving grandmother to Brendan M. Shank, Brett D. Shank, Tabitha L. Shank, Arielle E. Shank, Kyle I. Shank and Alexa J. Shank, and mother-in-law to Alinda Shank of Pittsfield.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Ashton E. Shank, in 1988. Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. at DWYER FUNERAL HOME. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 until the time of the service.
If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
