Stella Bove

Stella Bove, 100, formerly of Berkshiretown Apartments and Epoch Assisted Living at Melbourne, died Tuesday at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided since January 2003.
Born in Pittsfield on March 31, 1905, daughter of Ralph and Anna Spagnuolo Bove, she attended Pittsfield schools.
Miss Bove was a housekeeper and nanny for the L.R. Sweatland family of Concord Parkway for 43 years. She retired in 1973.
In March, 2005, she was given a 100th birthday party at Hillcrest Commons by staff and family. A large gathering attended the party.
She leaves a sister, Janet Merlet of Riverview, Fla., and her caregivers, niece Ruth Curley and her husband, Joseph Curley, of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services will take place Friday at 11 a.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in the family plot at Pittsfield Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, or the Family Council at Hillcrest Commons, in care of the funeral home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
She also leaves nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Stella enjoyed vacations with her sisters who were escorted by her niece, Laura Colvin of Richmond. Stella was predeceased by five sisters, Antoinette Marino, Margaret Evangelisto, Theresa Dean, Mary E. Finizola and Lena Nicola; and four brothers, James, Richard, Joseph and Anthony Bove.
