Mary Davis "Weezie" Kellogg, 86, of 235 Walker St. died Sunday in Lenox from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Troy, N.Y., on May 9, 1919, daughter of John S. and Adeline Schulze Davis, she attended schools in Scarsdale, N.Y., and was a 1940 graduate of Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass. She lived with her husband, Donald S. Kellogg, in Dorset, Vt., before moving to Lenox in 1991.
While living in Dorset she was a member of the United Church. She was President and a long-time board member of the Dorset Nursing Association, as well as a coordinator in the Hospice program of Bennington County.
She was made an honorary trustee of the Dorset Nursing Association.
She and her husband were married on March 1, 1941. Mr. Kellogg died on May 5, 1993.
She leaves two daughters, Susan Grigg, of Cornwall, Vt., and Patricia K. Lynch of Bronxville, N.Y.; and one son, John D. Kellogg, of Wellesley Hills.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Service of Remembrance for Mary Louise "Weezie" Kellogg will be conducted Thursday at 2 at The Church on the Hill, by the Rev. Natalie Shiras, pastor. Burial at the convenience of the family will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Dorset, Vt.
There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dorset Nursing Association, HospiceCare of the Berkshires or Bennington, or the Lee Regional Visiting Nurses Association, in care of ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240, which is in charge of arrangements.
She also leaves her beloved six grandchildren and soon-to-be eleven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kellogg spent much of her life finding ways to give to others and share her sense of humor and friendship.
