Louise Clara Davis, 70, of Pittsfield died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 14, 1935, daughter of Frank Raymond Derby and Doris Scully Derby Grasso, she spent her childhood in Pittsfield, then moved to Johnstown, Pa.
She graduated from Greater Johnstown High School in 1953.
She joined the Air Force in 1955.
Mrs. Davis worked as a waitress for over 45 years, and was a dispatcher and taxi cab driver for three years.
She lived in Indiana and Arizona before moving to Springfield in 1981, where she lived for a few years before moving back to Pittsfield.
She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo.
She leaves two sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Grasso Wills and Maria Grasso Brydon, both of Johnstown; one brother, Carmelo Peter Grasso of Johnstown, and an adopted son, Randy.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral arrangements are private. Family and friends are encouraged to attend a memorial service that will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 88 South St., Dr. Robert M. Rennie, officiating. In Mrs. Davis' memory, contributions can be made to the family for a funeral fund.
She was predeceased by a sister, Leona Foye, and a stepfather, Peter Grasso. She also leaves a brother-in-law, Donald Brydon; a sister-in-law, Rhonda Grasso; two aunts, Gertrude Derby of Hancock, N.Y., and Emma Brookman of Pittsfield; nieces, nephews and cousins, and special friends Jill Greene, Rita Bean, Judy Irwin, Irene Moulton and many, many other dear friends.
She was known as the QVC Queen of Wellington Avenue. She will be sadly missed by all. Arrangements are being handled by WILLIAM T. HINDMAN FUNERAL HOME, Johnstown, Pa.
