Rose Guarda

Rose Guarda, 91, of 111 Leona Drive, died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center after a short illness.
Born in Pittsfield on May 16, 1914, daughter of Antonio and Armida Ranieri Sbraccia, she attended local schools.
Mrs. Guarda was employed as a seamstress at the former Berkshire Coat Factory, retiring in 1971 after many years of service.
She was a communicant of All Souls' Church.
She enjoyed Italian cooking, traveling and going to Florida in the winter.
Her husband, Americo J. "Rex" Guarda, whom she married Jan. 24, 1943, died July 7, 1981.
She leaves a daughter, Jacqueline M. Terpak of Pittsfield, with whom she made her home.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Rose (Sbraccia) Guarda, 91, will take place Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, at 9 from the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 at All Souls' Church, 51 Pembroke Ave., with the Rev. James Cunningham, C.S.S., officiating.
Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Beloved mother of Jacqueline M. Terpak and mother-in-law to Stephen M. Terpak. Survived by several nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Souls' Church in care of the funeral home. Rose was predeceased by a brother, Louis Sbraccia.
