Naomi Berg, 91

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Naomi Berg, 91, formerly of Revere Parkway, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005, at the Wingate at Andover nursing facility after a short illness.
Born in Winchester on March 15, 1914, daughter of Mott E. and Margaret Flynn MacHugh, she graduated from Melrose High School in 1938.
She and her late husband, Carl O. Berg, moved to Pittsfield in November 1958 and she lived there until 1983. Her husband died in 1982.
Mrs. Berg worked in the retail clothing business for many years and opened The Southwick Shop on South Street.
She was an avid golfer and, while living in Harbor Creek, Pa., in 1956, founded the Junior Golf League at Lawrence Park.
She leaves three daughters, Patricia Rabii of Wayne, Pa., Cynthia White of North Andover and Betsy Meyers of Pittsfield; two sisters, Brenda Bigwood of Reading and Jerry Beck of Tustin, Calif.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Family and friends are invited to graveside services on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 2:30 p.m. at Pittsfield Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of DEWHIRST AND CONTE FUNERAL HOME, 17 Third St., North Andover.
