Jane A. Lennon

Jane A. Lennon, 52, of 84 Oakhurst Ave., died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center after a short illness.

Born in Pittsfield on March 2, 1953, daughter of Henry G. Bertini, and the late Stephen and Alma J. Barrett Hospod, who raised her, she was a 1971 graduate of Taconic High School.

Mrs. Lennon was a homemaker.

She attended St. Mark's Church.

She enjoyed watching television, contributing to many charitable organizations, and was an avid Red Sox fan.

She and her husband, Matthew "Ike" Lennon, celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on Jan. 11. They were married in 1985 in Pittsfield.

Besides her husband, and her father of West Stockbridge, she leaves two sons, Nicholas and Jameson Lennon, both of Pittsfield; a daughter, Elizabeth Lennon of Pittsfield, and three sisters, Carole Keeney of Pennsylvania, Deborah Parkington of Dalton and Lynne Tanner of Pittsfield.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Jane A. Bertini Lennon, age 52, who died Sept. 12, 2005, will be Friday at 9:15 from the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mark's Church, celebrated by the Rev. John Salatino, pastor. Interment will be at a later date.

There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Katrina Relief Fund in care of the funeral home, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.

She was predeceased by a brother, Henry "Ricci" Bertini. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jane's greatest joys were spending time with her family and helping people who were in need.
