Karen Ann Golomb, 53, of Charlotte, N.C., died Tuesday, Sept. 6, at home.
Born on July 17, 1952, in Worcester, daughter of Beverly J. Mayo and the late Donald E. Mayo, she graduated from Lenox Memorial High School and Bay Path Junior College in East Longmeadow.
She and her husband, Charles M. Golomb of Matthews, N.C., were married Aug. 25, 1984.
Besides her husband, and mother, of Rock Hill, S.C., she leaves a brother, James E. Mayo of Troy, Mont., and her paternal grandmother, Eleanor Mayo of Worcester.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A service to celebrate the life of Karen Ann Mayo Golomb will be Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005 at 1 at the Pineville Chapel of MCEWEN FUNERAL SERVICE, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, with the Rev. Paul Lattimer officiating.
Burial will be private. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Charlotte, 1420 E. 7th St., Charlotte, NC 28204, or to the Humane Society, 2700 Toomey Ave., Charlotte, NC 28203.
She also leaves her sister-in-law, Pamela, and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Karen was a kind and loving person, and will be missed by all who knew her. Arrangements by McEwen Funeral Service, Pineville Chapel.
