Maryanne E. Tyer

Maryanne E. Tyer, 63, of Henry Avenue died Friday at home after a brief illness.
Born in New Haven, Conn., on Sept. 24, 1941, daughter of the late Peter and Elda Mottarella Cornaggia, she was raised in Lee and attended schools there.
In 1987, she relocated to Indiana and earned a master's degree in accounting from Ball State University.
Mrs. Tyer was employed by Kay-Bee Toys, now KB Toys, in the accounting department and by the banking industry in New Lebanon, N.Y. While in Indiana, she was a volunteer for the American Red Cross.
She moved to Pittsfield in 1999.
Her husband, Richard E. Tyer, died in 1967.
She leaves two daughters, Colleen T. Teal and Erin M. Tyer, both of New Lebanon; a brother, Jack M. Cornaggia of Pittsfield; a sister, Joanne DeForge of Milford, Conn., and a granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Mass of Christian Burial for Maryanne Tyer will be celebrated Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 10 at St. Joseph's Church, Route 43, Stephentown, N.Y. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society Inc. in Pittsfield. Arrangements are under the direction of HALL & HIGGINS FUNERAL HOME of Stephentown, N.Y.
She leaves her sons-in-law, David Teal and Seth Sullivan; granddaughter, Shannon Teal; brother-in-law, Donald; a special niece, Martha Chiorgno, and several other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Inez Chiorgno, and a brother, Peter Cornaggia.
