Marguerite Ann Tristany, 55, of 191 Brown St., formerly of 238 Main St. in Lee, died Wednesday at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield.
Born in Pittsfield on May 2, 1950, daughter of Josephine Morsello Tristany and the late Mario J. Tristany, she attended St. Mary's Parochial School and was a 1968 graduate of Lee High School.
She graduated from Elms College and attended Babson College.
A certified nursing home administrator, she was assistant administrator at Bennington (Vt.) Nursing Home and at the Falls Nursing Home in Chicopee.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Lee.
Ms. Tristany was an avid reader who enjoyed writing poetry.
A lover of music, she was an accomplished piano player. She also enjoyed painting and calligraphy.
Besides her mother, she leaves a sister, Marie T. Gormalley of Pittsfield, and a brother, Mario J. Tristany of Griswold, Conn.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Marguerite Ann Tristany will be Saturday at 9:15 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church at 10.
Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Saturday morning from 8 until 9:15. Friends wishing may make donations to the Lee Library in care of the funeral home.
Survivors include a niece, Bridget Gormalley, and a nephew, Kevin Gormalley, both of Pittsfield; a brother-in-law, Patrick Gormalley, and sister-in-law, Linda Tristany, aunts, uncles and cousins.
