Daniel J. Fox, 54, of 394 West Housatonic St. died Sunday morning at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 1, 1950, son of Alice Ouellette Fox and the late Gerald F. Fox, he graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1969, from Berkshire Community College in 1972 and from the University of Massachusetts in 1974, where he earned a bachelor of fine arts degree.
Mr. Fox was vice president of his family's business, Drapery World, until the business closed in 1983. An independent interior designer, he operated Reynard Enterprises until becoming paralyzed in 1993.
He continued doing graphic design from his home for a short time.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, drawing, painting and corresponding with people worldwide.
Besides his mother, of Lee, he leaves a sister, Lorraine F. Jahn of Lee.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Daniel J. Fox, 54, who died Aug. 14, 2005, will be conducted Thursday at 10 at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. John Salatino, pastor of St. Mark's Church.
Burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends Thursday from 9 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, condolences may be sent to his mother, Alice C. Fox, 600 Laurel St., #104, Lee, MA 01238.
He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Peter F. Jahn; two nieces, Sarah F. Jahn and Lisa Jahn-Oberle, and his caregiver and best friend, Daniel J. Marshall Sr.
