Clementa Petruzella, 83, longtime resident of 111 Cadwell Road, died Wednesday evening at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Cirano, province of Avallino, Italy, on Sept. 23, 1921, daughter of Salvatore and Maria Concetta Arace Ditore, she moved to Pittsfield with her family at age 9 and attended local schools.
Mrs. Petruzella was a homemaker whose life centered around cooking, gardening and love of family, primarily her nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Christian Assembly Church.
Her husband, Thomas F. Petruzella, died Aug. 17, 1996.
Her son, Donald T. Petruzella, died Nov. 1, 1998.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Clementa Petruzella died in Pittsfield on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005. Loving aunt to Wayne Ditore, Karen Furlano, Melanie Masdea, Deborah Bossidy, Hector Phillips and Samuel Ditore.
She also leaves several great-nieces and -nephews and well as great-great-nieces and -nephews. Her entire life was centered around those she loved. She would lend a helping hand to anyone who asked. She will be deeply missed as she was such a large part of everyone's life. Funeral services will be Sunday, Aug. 14, at 11:30 at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME.
Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 10 until the time of the 11:30 service. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to Elder Services of Berkshire County or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
