Rosemary M. Thomson D'Alessandro, 77, of 2518 67th Ave. South, St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Pittsfield, died Thursday at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 12, 1927, daughter of Leonard and Marie "Bella" Vienneau LeBlanc, she was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School and a 1945 graduate of Putnam (Conn.) Catholic Academy.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. D'Alessandro worked as a bookkeeper for various companies.
She was a communicant and active member of St. Mary Our Lady of Grace Church in St. Petersburg.
While in Pittsfield, she was instrumental in the establishment of the Berkshire Singles Club.
She enjoyed traveling, dancing, reading, doing crossword puzzles and going to estate sales.
Her husband, Julian D'Alessandro, whom she married Feb. 22, 1986, in the former Notre Dame Church, died July 9, 1999.
She leaves three sons, Lorin E. Hubley and Paul J. Hubley, both of St. Petersburg, and Mark S. Hubley of Old Chatham, N.Y.; three daughters, Christine A. Thomson-Craw and Carol Spiewak, both of Pittsfield, and Heather A. Thomson of Sarasota, Fla.; three brothers, J. Leonard LeBlanc of Cap Pélé, New Brunswick, Canada, Paul LeBlanc of Dalton and Robert LeBlanc of Pittsfield; two sisters, Marilyn Harte of St. Petersburg and Lee, and Anne McConnell of Pittsfield; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and a cousin, Warren Vienneau, whom her family raised. She was predeceased by another son, Heath "Pete" Thomson, on Sept. 21, 1986.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Rosemary M. Thomson D'Alessandro, who died Thursday, July 21, will be celebrated Thursday, July 28, at 10 at St. Charles' Church by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 9:30 to 10. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, http://leukemia.org. DERY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
Rosemary, remembered for truly having a heart of gold and who touched everyone who knew her, also leaves her daughter-in-law, Lisbeth O'Connell, and her son-in-law, Timothy Craw.
