Theresa M. Wyand

Theresa M. Wyand, 79, of 110 Third St. died Tuesday night at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center.

Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 15, 1926, daughter of Marziale and Catherine Zeffino Carlopoli, she was a 1943 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

Mrs. Wyand was employed by GE for 32 years, retiring in 1989.

She was a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners' clubs and enjoyed playing cards, bowling and boccie.

Her husband, Herbert R. Wyand Sr., whom she married in 1955, died in 1988.

She leaves two sons, Robert D. Mossman of Lanesborough and Herbert R. Wyand Jr. of Pittsfield; two daughters, Lisa A. Duclos and Wendy M. Wyand, both of Pittsfield; three brothers, Carmen Carlopoli of San Diego, John A. Carlopoli of Las Vegas and Marziale Carlopoli of Pittsfield; two sisters, Delores Warren and Nancy Costam, both of Pittsfield; 12 grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Theresa M. Carlopoli Wyand, 79, died July 12, 2005. The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Geoffrey Deeker, CSS, pastor of Mount Carmel Church. Calling hours will be Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society, both in care of the funeral home.

She is lovingly survived by her grandchildren, Sarah and Julie Mossman, Aaron, Christian and Brenden Wyand, Kirk Wyand, Samantha and Sabrina Duclos, and Kimberly, Jeffrey, Brittany and Todd Phillips; her great-granddaughter, Emma Jane Thurston; her daughters-in-law, Deborah Mossman and Joanne M. Wyand, and her sons-in-law, Michael Duclos and Jeffrey Phillips.

She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Girard. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
