Alma Pierce, 85, formerly of Dalton, died Friday at Mountainview Health Care Center in Montgomery.
Born in Northampton on Sept. 12, 1919, she was the daughter of John and Nellie Shugrue Roberts.
She lived in West Springfield until moving to Dalton in 1961.
She leaves a son, David Pierce of Chester; a daughter, Melissa McGuire of Rochester, N.Y., and a granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A graveside service for Alma Roberts Pierce, who died July 1, 2005, will be held Monday at noon at Hinsdale Cemetery on Maple Street in Hinsdale. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chester Foundation, c/o David Pierce, P.O. Box 743, Chester, MA 01011, or to the charity of your choice. O'BRIEN HILLTOWN COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME in Huntington is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a son-in-law, George McGuire, and a granddaughter, Molly McGuire, both of Rochester, N.Y. She was predeceased by her sister, Myrtle Jablonowski.
