Charles W. "Chuck" Vallone

Charles W. "Chuck" Vallone, 55, formerly of 48 Third St., died Friday at Hillcrest Commons, where he had resided since April.

Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 31, 1950, son of Anthony and Iola Caliento Vallone, he was a 1968 graduate of Taconic High School.

Mr. Vallone was employed by Goodwill Industries for several years.

He did volunteer work at Hillcrest Hospital and several nursing homes in Berkshire County.

He was a member of the Berkshire First Church of the Nazarene in Dalton.

An avid Red Sox fan, he enjoyed reading and thoroughbred racing.

He leaves a sister, Maryjane E. Scoco of Pittsfield, and two brothers, Michael R. Vallone of Pittsfield and Thomas Vallone of Cocoa Beach, Fla.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Charles W. "Chuck" Vallone will take place Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at 10 a.m. at the Berkshire First Church of the Nazarene in Dalton with the Rev. Bryan Lamberton, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. He is survived by a brother-in-law, Mark Scoco; sister-in-law, Dorothy Vallone, and was the beloved uncle of Joshua, Laura, Sara, Michael, Alison and Dean as well as several other nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Diane Vallone. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
