Helen Marie Kostyun

Helen Marie Kostyun, 73, of Brown Street, Lenox Dale, died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in Lee on April 14, 1932, daughter of James F. and Helena Carr Curley, she attended St. Mary's School and was a 1951 graduate of Lee High School.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Kostyun formerly was employed by Berkshire Mutual Insurance Co. and by GE. She left the work force in 1970.
She was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Lenox Dale, where she served on the Parish Council and taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine.
She and her husband, Paul M. Kostyun, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary April 24.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Michael Aaron Kostyun of Pittsfield and Matthew Francis Kostyun of Lenox Dale; a sister, Katherine Pirzl of Lenoir, N.C.; a brother, William Curley of Naples, Fla., and a granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mrs. Helen Marie Kostyun of Lenox Dale will be Thursday, June 23, 2005, at 9 from ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Lenox Dale celebrated by the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor.
Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Lenox. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 7. Flowers are welcome. Those who wish may make donations in her memory to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.
Mrs. Kostyun is also survived by her son Michael's wife, Paula Greene Kostyun, and by her beloved granddaughter, Emma Rose Kostyun, and her niece, Maureen Cleveland of Lenoir. Her brother, James John Curley, died in 1985.
