Lempi E. Reynolds, 86, formerly of South Street, died Friday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, where she had lived for four years.
Born in Worcester, daughter of John and Maria Solomem Nelson, she attended schools in Chester.
She moved to Finland as a child, then moved to Chester as a teenager.
Primarily a homemaker, she enjoyed reading, embroidery, sewing, knitting and crocheting.
She and her husband, Milton D. Reynolds, whom she married Sept. 3, 1938, died March 30, 1978.
She leaves four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson. A son, Milton D. Reynolds Jr., predeceased her in 2003.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Lempi Reynolds will be held Wednesday, June 22, at 11 a.m. at BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME in Dalton, with the Rev. Dr. Roger Davis, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Pittsfield, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ashuelot Cemetery in Dalton. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Make-a-Wish Foundation or the American Heart Association through the funeral home.
She was predeceased by a grandson.
