Norma M. Kobus

Norma M. Kobus, 82, formerly of 2 Kemble St., died yesterday at Providence Care Center in Lenox where she had lived for the past four years.
Born in Lee on May 2, 1923, daughter of Peter and Antoinetta Anderghetti Castegnaro, she attended schools there and was a 1941 graduate of Lee High School.
Mrs. Kobus was employed for 19 years at General Electric Co. in Pittsfield in the ordnance division where she was a certified soldering and wiring technician, retiring on Jan. 1, 1986.
She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church.
Mrs. Kobus and her husband, former Pittsfield Police Captain Stanley J. Kobus, were married in St. Mary's Church in Lee on June 11, 1949.
Mr. Kobus died May 26, 1975.
She leaves a daughter, Linda K. Reardon of Spring Hill, Fla.; a sister, Rena Mercier of Lenox Dale; two brothers, John Castegnaro of Lee and Peter Castegnaro of Lenox, and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral of Mrs. Norma M. Kobus will be Wednesday morning, June 22, at 9:15 a.m. from ROCHE FUNERAL HOME followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church in Lenox with the Rev. Daniel J. Brunton, chaplain of Providence Care Center, and the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor of St. Ann's, con-celebrating the Liturgy.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pittsfield. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations in Mrs. Kobus' memory to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.
Mrs. Kobus is also survived by her loving grandchildren Lisa and Derek Reardon. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Blanche Barenski in 1966 and Jenny Love in 2003.
