James T. Vaughn

James T. Vaughn, 27, of 14 Davis St. died Thursday at Berkshire Medical Center as a result of an automobile accident earlier in the day on Route 9 in Cummington.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 22, 1977, son of Gesina Pleiter Vaughn Pytko and the late James E. Vaughn, he was a 1995 graduate of Taconic High School's carpentry program and a member of the school's hockey team.
At the time of his death, Mr. Vaughn had been employed by Vincent Hottle Lawn Care as a machine operator for three years.
He was also a carpenter.
He was a communicant of St. Charles' Church and enjoyed bow hunting and playing the guitar.
Besides his mother, he leaves his stepfather, Stephen Pytko; a sister, Erica Vaughn of Pittsfield; a stepbrother, Carl Spurlin of Mesa, Ariz.; a stepsister, Jesse Spurlin of Mesa, and his maternal grandmother, Beverly Pleiter of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- James T. Vaughn died in Pittsfield on Thursday, June 16. Also survived by an aunt, Shari Pleiter, and three cousins, Marc, Shay and Ashley Barnes.
Services will be Monday, June 20, at 9 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Charles' Church celebrated by the Rev. Daniel Brunton. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be tomorrow, June 19, from 2 to 5 at the funeral home. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire County division of the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
