Frances M. Herrick, 92, of Housatonic Street died yesterday morning at Laurel Lake Nursing Center in Lee.
Born in West Lebanon, N.Y., on Oct. 5, 1912, daughter of Edgar C. and Emma Carpenter Herrick, she was a 1931 graduate of Lenox High School.
She also attended nurses' training at the former House of Mercy in Pittsfield, and later in Natick.
Ms. Herrick was employed as a licensed practical nurse at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington for 25 years and also at Meadow Place in Lenox. After her retirement, she continued in private duty.
She was a member of the Church on the Hill and of the Order of Eastern Star in Dalton.
She enjoyed bowling and playing cards.
She leaves a brother, Robert R. Herrick of Pittsfield, and a sister, Edna M. Hutchinson of Lenox.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Frances M. Herrick will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the ROCHE FUNERAL HOME in Lenox. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Fairview Hospital or the Lenox Volunteer Ambulance Squad, both in care of the funeral home, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.
