Matilde Pabon, 45, of 257 Francis Ave. died Tuesday evening at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, on March 16, 1960, daughter of Maria Pabon Rodriguez, she attended schools there. In the early 1980s, she moved to New York City, where she lived for seven years.
She then moved to Springfield, and to Pittsfield six years ago.
Ms. Pabon was a homemaker.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church.
She enjoyed the ocean and collected dolphin figurines.
She also enjoyed doing crafts.
Besides her mother, of Pittsfield, she leaves a son, Omar Rosario of Springfield; a daughter, Joanna Rosario of Pittsfield; three brothers, Wilselino Salgado, Edwin Fernandez and Louis Torres, all of Pittsfield, and five sisters, Angela Torres, Anna Torres and Migdalia Salgado, all of Springfield, and Lydia Torres and LourderTorres, both of Puerto Rico.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Matilde Pabon, who died Tuesday, May 31, will be private.
There will be no calling hours. She will be buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery. DERY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
