Joan C. Cuenin

Joan C. Cuenin, 71, of Newcombe Circle, Leesburg, Fla., a former resident, died Monday at Hospice Home in Leesburg.
Born in Glass Lake, N.Y., on Feb. 22, 1934, daughter of Edward C. and Rhoda Sarah Martin Ernst, she was a graduate of Averill Park (N.Y.) Central High School.
She had lived in Pittsfield from 1954 until moving to Leesburg in 1993.
Mrs. Cuenin was employed by the former Montgomery Ward and S & H Stamps until they both ceased operations.
She was a member of Zion's Lutheran Church in Pittsfield.
She and her husband, Ronald Cuenin, were married Nov. 6, 1954.
Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Ronald Cuenin of Norcross, Ga., Kenneth Cuenin of Leesburg and Gary Cuenin of Pittsfield; two sisters, her twin, Janet Quell of West Sand Lake, N.Y., and Edna Whimple of Troy, N.Y.; a brother, Burton Ernst of Averill Park, and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Memorial services for Joan C. Cuenin, who died May 23, 2005, will be today, May 26, at 4 at BEYERS FUNERAL HOME in Leesburg, with Chaplain Larry Stevens officiating.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 2 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Lake/Sumter Inc., or Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation Inc.
She was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Perron, and two brothers, Clayton and Harry Ernest. She leaves two daughters-in-law, Mary Ann and Ginni, and four grandchildren, Michael, Elizabeth, Crystal and Nicole.
