Alice R. Eichstedt, 94, formerly of Housatonic, died Friday at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided for more than five years.
Born in Housatonic on May 13, 1911, daughter of William and Clara Curtis Arnold, she attended schools there.
A homemaker, Mrs. Eichstedt had worked at the former Monument Mills in Housatonic prior to her marriage.
Her husband, Kenneth Eichstedt, whom she married Nov. 18, 1941, died July 9, 1983.
She leaves her caregiver, Warren G. Maston Sr. of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Alice R. Eichstedt, who died May 20, 2005, will be conducted Thursday at noon at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., by the Rev. Dr. Roger Davis, pastor of First United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be the day of the service from 11 until noon. She was predeceased by four sisters, Gertrude Phelps, Clara King, Eleanor Yamberlette and Luella Maston, and two brothers, Charles Arnold and William Arnold Jr.
She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
