Hector Molleur

Hector Molleur, 96, formerly of 224 New Lenox Road, died Saturday at Hillcrest Commons, where he had resided several months.
Born in Adams on Nov. 25, 1908, son of Mose and Eucharist "Carrie" Beauchmaine Molleur, he graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School in North Adams and attended an electrical technical school in New Jersey.
Mr. Molleur owned and operated Molleur Brothers TV Sales and Service from 1941 to 1975, when he retired. He also worked at one time at the former Charlie Weeks Auto.
He was a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church in Pittsfield, where he was a lector. He also once sang in the choir at Notre Dame Church in Adams.
He was a member of the Pittsfield Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club, and an automobile buff.
Mr. Molleur was a member of Wahconah Country Club, where he played golf until he was 84 years old.
His wife, the former Margaret E. Kirby, whom he married Oct. 15, 1934, at Notre Dame in Adams, died July 9, 1992.
He leaves three daughters, Claudette L. Cancilla of Pittsfield, Margot P. Martino of Hinsdale and Elaine T. Thayer of Huntington Woods, Mich.; nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Hector Molleur, 96, who died Saturday, May 21, 2005, will be Wednesday, May 25, at 9:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Charles' Church at 10 celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, both in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
