Mavis June Munger, 72, of Berkshiretown Apartments, 176 Columbus Ave., died Wednesday morning at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on May 25, 1932, daughter of Richard C. and Ida Jansen Beers, she was educated in local schools.
Mrs. Munger was a homemaker.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, arts and crafts, and religious reading.
She and her husband, Donald A. Munger, were married June 30, 1951, in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, David D. Munger of Pittsfield and Donald V. Munger of Becket; two daughters, Sheila M. Lepotakis of Pittsfield and Laurie J. Munger of Deltona, Fla.; two brothers, David Beers and John Beers, both of Aurora, Colo., seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Mavis June Munger, who died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, will be tomorrow, Friday, May 20, at 11 at the DERY FUNERAL HOME with Robert E. Jansen officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery.
A calling hour from 10 to 11 will precede the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gilda Radner Ovarian Cancer Registry in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Beers.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
