Olga Skochinsky, 85, of 509 Tyler St. died Saturday, at Hillcrest Commons.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 21, 1919, daughter of Nicholas and Nadezhda Kaznersry, she was a 1938 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
A homemaker, Mrs. Skochinsky was a member of St. Nicholas' Russian Orthodox Church.
Her husband, Peter N. Skochinsky, whom she married May 21, 1947, died Nov. 7, 1990.
She leaves a son, Nicholas C. Skochinsky of Langhorn, Pa.; a daughter, Susan Stegall of Lake Forrest, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Mrs. Olga Skochinsky died Saturday, May 14, 2005, in Pittsfield. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 17, at 9:15 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield, with a burial service conducted at 10 in St. Nicholas' Russian Orthodox Church by the Rev. George Tyapko, pastor.
Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be today, May 16, from 5 to 7, with a memorial service at 7 p.m. If friends desire, donations may be made to St. Nicholas' Russian Orthodox Church.
She leaves her beloved sister-in-law and caregiver, Marie Nicholson. Beloved grandmother to Mercedes, Ange, Katelin and Luke St. Hilaire, and Nichole, Nora and Natalie Skochinsky.
