Thomas H. Pickard, 40, of 97 Connecticut Ave. died Tuesday at home following a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on June 25, 1964, son of Eleanor N. Stanton Pickard of Pittsfield and the late James E. Pickard, he was a 1982 graduate of Lenox Memorial High School.
He also graduated from Pittsfield Community Music School, and was a 1984 graduate of Berkshire Community College.
Mr. Pickard was most recently employed as a CDL instructor for Werner Enterprises. Following graduation, he worked as a chef in many area restaurants until 1995 and then worked as a pest control technician for Orkin until 1999.
A musician, he played the alto saxophone with the Ben Jamin Band and the R & R Express.
Besides his mother, he leaves a son, Jonathan T. Pickard of Beachwood, N.J.; a daughter, Paula K. Pickard of Beachwood, N.J.; three brothers, David Pickard and Timothy Pickard, both of Pittsfield, and Mark Pickard of Kennwich, Wash.; a sister, Michelle Larison of Oahu, Hawaii. He was predeceased by another son, Patrick M. Pickard, who died in 1986.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Following cremation, a private graveside service for Thomas H. Pickard will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
