William M. Wesley

William M. Wesley, 61, of East Hollow Road, Petersburgh, N.Y., a native of Pittsfield, died Sunday at home.
Born on Jan. 28, 1944, son of Harold and Madeline A. Powell Wesley, he was a 1961 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
He entered the Army in 1965 and completed training as a pharmacy specialist. He was discharged in 1967.
A self-employed roofer before his service in the Army, Mr. Wesley continued work in the construction business until opening Wesley Adult Home in Petersburgh in 1996.
He and his wife, the former Jane E. Stevens, sold the business in 2001.
He enjoyed building bird houses and reading.
He and his wife were married Aug. 23, 1986, in Petersburgh.
Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Wendy Weaver and Debra Hoffman, both of Petersburgh; a son, Dana Wesley of Petersburgh; a brother, Neil H. Wesley of Pittsfield; three sisters, Betty A. Clemons and Judith L. Clary, both of Pittsfield, and Marian A. Burzimati of Seffner, Fla., and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for William M. Wesley will be conducted Thursday at 11 at THOMAS M. BARBER FUNERAL HOME, 66 Armsby Road, Petersburgh, by the Rev. Rich Neisen.
Burial with full military honors will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery on Hewitt Road. Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral home Wednesday from 4 to 7 for visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration Medical Center at White River Junction, Vermont Volunteer Program in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 361, Petersburgh, NY 12138.
He also leaves a son-in-law, Louis Hoffman; Wendy's significant other, Michael Granger, and grandchildren Joshua, Tyler and Sadie Jayne Hoffman, and Katlyn Weaver.
